Upon graduation, Darby joined NCNB bank and began working in its
commercial banking sector. A promotion in 1987 returned him to
Jacksonville, where he assumed responsibilities as manager of the
NCNB Private Banking office. In 1991, Darby began his career with
Lincoln Financial Advisors as a financial planner and employee
benefit consultant.
From 1993 to 1998, he served as Investment Sales Specialist for
Lincoln Financial Advisors in addition to operating his own
practice. His professional accomplishments include the Million
Dollar Roundtable (qualifying for this award 13 times in his
career)and the Chairman's Council for Lincoln Financial Advisors.
Darby holds the following licenses: Series 6, Series 7 and Series
65. He also has a Life, Health and Variable Annuity License.
In 2003, Darby merged his individual practice to form Montoya
Brower and Associates. After seven years of successful operations,
the partnership ended December 31, 2009, due to differences in
business philosophy, objectives, and priorities. Darby opened his
new business Brower Financial Group, January 4, 2010.
Darby's investment team, previously with his former company,
stayed together to start the new year with a new location at 250
A1A Suite 100 in the North Wing of the Florida Bank Building in
Ponte Vedra Beach. The team is excited to maintain their warm
atmosphere and companionship with their clients. With reliability
and integrity, they continue to provide: personalized financial,
retirement, and investment planning; individual investment
accounts, individual and group insurance; and group retirement
plans.
Darby's character has always been one of genuine care for
clients, employees, and their families. The move also opened the
doorway for Brower Financial Group to accept a wonderful offer to

objectivity and integrity. Darby and his wife Jennifer have been
married since November of 1988, and have two sons and one daughter.
Their children represent the sixth generation with Floridian roots.
Carrying on very active family traditions, the Brower's are
extremely involved in community philanthropic events: United Way,
Wolfson's Children's Hospital, Project SOS.
They enjoy attending Christ Episcopal Church, Lacrosse games,
and Cheerleading events. The family hobbies include all water
sports, snow skiing, traveling, and spending time in their family
cottage in Southport, Maine. Darby has been married to his wife,
Jennifer, since November of 1988. They reside in Ponte Vedra Beach,
Florida, and have two sons and a daughter.
Away from his office, Darby and his family enjoy boating,
fishing and all forms of water sports. His hobbies include coaching
his children's sports teams and traveling. Darby is also an active
member of Christ Episcopal Church in Ponte Vedra Beach and the
Ponte Vedra Chamber of Commerce.
